Helping Hands
On October 26, 2011 the club members met in the library. Thanks to the Helping Hands Foundation, we now have plenty of knitting needles and yarn to go around as well as instruction books and bags! Below is a post with a Photo Story showing a few of our members working hard on some new skills! Madison, our student president, started instructing the purl stitch this month. Without the continued support of the needle arts mentoring program at the Helping Hands Foundation, we would not be able to continue our club with the number of students we currently have. The Foundation has allowed us to share a lifelong skill as well as a love for the fiber arts with our students. We are most appreciative and thank Penny Sitler, Executive Director for all of her help and support!
