Learning to Knit!
The Fiber Arts Club met in the library on September 26, 2012. We were excited to welcome twelve new members. Madison, knitter extraordinaire, came to our rescue and helped get new knitters established. She also modeled her latest fashion accessories! We are off to a great start and will be working on some basic skills as we tackle our first scarves. Torrie and Mrs. Stout were on hand to offer assistance as well. Again, special thanks to the Helping Hands Foundation for granting us the supplies to allow us to have a knitting club! We could not keep this group going without the wonderful support from this organization.

Welcome
Welcome to the Fiber Arts Club
This is your opportunity to learn how to knit and create fabulous fashion accessories for yourself and gifts for your friends! The library will provide needles and yarn, instruction, videos, and a place to rest, relax, and have fun! We are all learning and helping each other in this group. The library has a number of resources: books and internet sources, online videos, and a great support group.
The club has a web page and we like to post pictures of your projects. As a community service project, we have a number of options such as hats and scarves for local shelters and baby hats for world-wide charitable organizations. Thanks for your interest and have fun!
First Meeting for the 2012-13 school year: Wednesday: September 26 at 1:50 in the library!
